My research activity revolves about the characterisation of climate variability. I developped three axes of research:

• Statistical diagnostics of variability. These include
• time series analyses and software development with the SSA-MTM Toolkit,
• multi-scale adaptive analyses, like the multi-scale SSA, and application to paleoclimate and ENSO,
• extreme value and Pareto distributions for climate studies.
• Archives of climate variations for the last millennium:
• ancient meteorological data in Europe or the earliest measurements in Paris,
• historical chronicles like harvest dates,
• proxy data of temperature, precipitation or forest fires.
• Model simulations of the past centuries, covering the Little Ice Age
• Climate variations since 1850,
• Climate variations since the Medieval Warm Period.
