ORCHIDEE
This Web page is still under construction.
ORCHIDEE is the new land-surface scheme of the IPSL. This
scheme is the result of the coupling of the SECHIBA land-surface
scheme, which is dedicated to the surface energy and water balances,
and the carbon and vegetation model STOMATE.As the model goes into the
production phase we will have more time to dedicate to the
documentation and this Web page.
This scheme is an independent model which can be used in either an
off-line mode or coupled to the atmospheric GCM of the IPSL. This
flexibility is achieved with the PILPS
4c interface.
The most difficult part of any model : the documentation.
A number of ancillary data sets are needed to specify the surface
conditions for the land-surface scheme. The two data sets needed by
ORCHIDEE are described and the netCDF files provided.
Data sets available for forcing ORCHIDEE
A number of standard data-sets have been transformed into netCDF and
are ready to be used for forcing ORCHIDEE. The data and the
programs which have been used for the transformation are made
avaiable.
Internal reports and non published papers on ORCHIDEE, or one of its
components, are provided in this section.
Work in progress !
