Tropical Indian Ocean
My research objectives in the Indian Ocean are:
  • Understand the equatorial variability in the Indian Ocean focusing on the role played by long equatorial waves (Le Blanc and Boulanger, Clim. Dyn., 2001) and MJO activity on ocean surface currents
  • Document and investigate the scale interaction between IntraSeasonal oscillations and low-frequency modes of variability in the Indian Ocean
  • ARGO floats in the Indian Ocean (see the french report of Alexandra Bozec on simulating ARGO float drifts in the Indian Ocean)
